YAYYY I’m finally a Senior in highschool! I can’t believe it.
My last day of school was today, I survived Junior year! I think this was my worst academic year, but I did make many memorable this school year. First off I would like to say, I’m finished with all regents for the rest of my life. Yes, no more state regents for me!! I did pretty bad on my regents this year =( I passed and everything, but my grades were pretty low…especially for Physics X_X I’m pretty happy with my Math B regents grade though. I was doing pretty bad in that class (pre-calculus), and I was extremely happy when I got a 83–I did pretty good compared to the people who had higher GPA in that class. My US History test went pretty bad. I got a 90…which I was totally not expecting. I was aiming for like a 98 since I’m in AP US History. The multiple choice really screwed me. I took many old regents and I did extremely well..don’t know what happened. I was stuck on the multiple choice part. My report card was alright. Overall GPA was in the low 90s. Now all I need to worry about is my SATs and SATII. I’m planning to take them in Fall. I’m going to study my ass off during the summer.
I have been hanging out with my friends quite often this month. When regents week started like last week, I hung out with them all day, everyday. LOL. It was really fun though. Making memories is a good thing though. I’m graduating soon, so it’s best to make memories. My friends and I have been planning this BBQ, and we finally had it yesterday after dayyss of preparation. It was amazing. Everything went well until the end. We sort of had a accident. While we were trying to clean the grill, my brilliant friend swept some hot ashes of the charcoal into a cardboard box. Halfway through we decided the ashes were too hot, and decided to let it cool for a while while we cleared the picnic table. Guess what happened next. That’s right, the box was burning! There were flames! Thank god one of my friend saw it or else we’ll probably burn down the whole park. Luckily we had left over water and we were able to put the fire off. After we successfully stopped the fire, we just all started laughing. A very memorable first BBQ we did together by ourselves. A perfect insert song right now would be “We Didn’t Start the Fire” by Billy Joel. haha
ETA, a heart-breaking topic… the death of King of Pop Michael Jackson. I really can’t believe this is true. He was truly a great musician and entertainer. I don’t think we will ever have anyone as amazing as him. It’s sad how many people only remember him as the “child molester”. The media always publish his mistakes, but never his good deeds. Michael Jackson has done so much for the society such as charities. People really don’t know what the value of things until it’s gone.
A quote I got from a forum: “one fan said it best. He gave the reporter such a disgusted look then tells him. “its really easy to focus and all the crazy britney shit he did. But i notice you’re not talking about all the charities he donated to, the foundations he promoted and all the handicapped children he sponsored and allowed to play on his ranch for a day for free. Or the scholarships he gave away…yeah let’s not talk about all that.”
Just as he was about to make a comeback, he’s gone.
R.I.P. Michael Jackson. You will always be our King of Pop.
