So I finally made my first wordpress layout. It was really a pain in the neck, especially coding the navigation section. Designing and coding the layout into html wasn’t hard, but converting it so it would be suitable for wordpress drove me nuts. Usually it would take a few hours for me to complete a layout, but this one took quite a while. Overall I’m satisfied with my work. Hopefully there won’t be any glitches :) I still need to work on some finishing touches, but I couldn’t wait to put this up.
This layout features Kpop girl group, Brown Eyed Girls. I usually don’t fangirl over girl groups, but I really like Brown Eyed Girls. These girls aren’t you’re typical idol groups. I’m pretty sick of the girl group craze in Korea, but they’re the only group that I actually don’t mind. In terms of age, these girls are pretty old. Three members are 28 (30 in Korea), and their youngest member is only 22 (23 in Korea). So they can pull off they sexy look without looking like fools that are trying too hard. Also since they’re older, they don’t need to act cutesy. In terms of talent, these girls own most of the active girl groups out there. Vocally, these girls absolutely amazing. BEG (acronym of their name) initially debuted as a “no face” group, meaning they concentrated on vocals rather than looks. ( watch them do a cover of You Raised Me Up ) It’s quite a shame, but to be honest, these girls did not get recognized until they started to do more dance tracks and they made themselves prettier. These girls are also quite funny. Most girl groups aren’t funny on variety shows since they all want to protect their image and stuff, but surprisingly, BEG members are entertaining. Hopefully they’ll continue to gain popularity.

First post in February 2010. Time sure flies by fast. So far I have heard back from three schools. I got accepted to Baruch, Drexel, and Queens College. I can’t wait for my other results. Hopefully I got into all the schools I applied to *crosses fingers*. Earlier this month, I received my second report card for this year. Surprisingly, I’m doing better during my senior year than my junior year =_=”.
Nothing extraordinary had happened to me since my last update. In the last week of January, while all seniors were enjoying their Regents week, I had to retake my English regents for two days, and practice on Forensics for the Science Olympiad competition. It wasn’t like I failed my English regents from last year, but I didn’t do so good. In order to get some Regents Honors, all my regents have to average to a 90. I retook it and did a lot better :) On January 30th, it was a friend’s birthday, so we went bowling and her house to celebrate.
Last Saturday was the Science Olympiad competition. This was my fourth and last year participating in this event. This year not only did I compete in the Forensic section, but I was also the Spirit Team Leader. I designed the school’s shirt and basically raised everyone’s school’s spirit haha. This year was also as memorable as previous years. This year our school did pretty good, we got fourth place in trajectory. :D
Next week is Winter Break! I can’t wait!! And tomorrow school will be canceled because of the upcoming snow storm. SNOW DAY TWO YEARS IN A ROW w00t!
P.S. BTW, does anyone know how to code a wordpress layout? I made a layout, but I have no clue have to integrate it with wordpress T_T I looked up for tutorials online, and they’re all complicated. :(
So I submitted most of my college applications. I have one more to submit and then I’m pretty much finished. I also filled out FASA, but I’m waiting for my parent’s 2009 Tax Return forms so I can update it. Next I need to do the CSS profile. Aish, so much stuff. Most of the schools I applied for is within New York State. Hopefully I got into most of them, since most of the schools I applied for isn’t extraordinary.
The yearly Science Olympiad competition I join is coming up D: This year I’m competing in the forensic section. Forensic is a fun, but I don’t know if I’m good enough to win anything ToT

I haven’t really updated my blog, so here’s the things I have been interested in. You’re Beautiful. This is a korean drama starring Jang Geun Suk and Park Shin Hye. WATCH THIS NAO! I absolutely love this drama. It’s funny, lots of eye candy, and sweet. The cast is amazing. Jang Geun Suk is one of my favorite Korean actors, and he played his role very well. The OST for this drama is also amazing. (If you’re a fan of Lee Hong Ki, vocalist of FT Island, watch this. He’s adorable in here). I got my brothers into this drama too. >:D SHINee. These boys are so adorable omgosh. I was never really interested in SHINee, but when I saw their episode of Idol Army with 2PM, omg full of win. I also started to fall in love with their music too. These boys are definitely talented. These boys are going on tv shows a lot more often now, so that might be another reason why I’m liking them so much. keke. My favorite is Onew, but I love the other members too. Taemin is just freakin’ cute. I can see why so much noona (older girls) fans fawn over them. MBLAQ. I recently discovered MBLAQ. They are produced by Bi aka Rain. I didn’t really care about them at first, but I saw them on Idol Maknae Rebellion and fell in love. XD They haven’t release much music yet, but their debut song “Oh Yeah” is so addicting :3 And it also doesn’t help the fact that Lee Joon is so fucking beautiful. He’s my ideal man forreals. They also have amazing personalities. Mir looks like Lee HongKi’s long lost twin brother and Thunder is Sandra of 2NE1′s younger brother. Ga In (Brown Eyed Girls) and Jo Kwon (2AM) We Got Married. This fake couple is so entertaining. I love them individually before they were coupled, and now they are just epic together.
